By simply connecting between the power source and the existing basic PDU, the InfraPower In-line Meter eliminates the need to replace current rack PDUs—dramatically reducing implementation time when upgrading from basic to intelligent PDUs. -
The sharp and highly visible 2.8" touchscreen LCD provides local data on the current (Amp), voltage (Volt), power (KW), power factor, and energy consumption (kWh) of the entire PDU. This data achieves a billing-grade accuracy within ±1%. -
The InfraPower In-line Meter is designed and built to provide extremely high levels of mission-critical resilience. Field-replaceable meter and DC power module help eliminate maintenance downtime. -
Z IP in-line meter is embedded dual Gigabit ethernet LAN IP for redundant network access via IP and hence ensuring iPDU uptime reporting. Enterprise-level IP authentication support e.g., Active Directory (AD), LDAPv3 / LADPS, RADIUS or local credential database. -
With a 1st level Z In-line Meter featuring embedded IP, up to 32 daisy-chain levels can be achieved. The in-line meters can be inter-cascaded in a single daisy chain via Cat5e/6 cables, allowing up to 32 In-line Meters to be accessed via a single IP address. -
The Single Feed In-Line Meter is a cost-efficient metering solution for a single basic PDU. A Dual Feed In-Line Meter is also available, delivering metering capabilities to two basic PDUs within the same rack, meaning both can be managed remotely through a single IP address.
New Generation Z IP In-line Meter
InfraPower® Z In-line Meter is supplied with new generation IP meter. The Z IP Meter not only provides local metering, but also embedded dual Gigabit ethernet LAN IP. Up to 32 levels of in-line meters in daisy chain can be remotely accessed via one single network IP.
The 2.8″ color LCD with touchscreen provides a sharp and highly visible display of kWh, kW, Power Factor, Volt, Amp, Temperature and Humidity.
The meter is hot swappable and field replaceable without needing to power down the PDU or attached mission critical equipment.

In-line Meter Cascade
The InfraPower Rack IP In-line Meter provides connection ports for daisy-chaining. A single Z IP In-line Meter can connect up to 31 expansion in-line meters (both 1-phase and 3-phase). This means only one network IP address—configured via the primary Z IP In-line Meter—is required to manage all 32 levels of in-line meters. Expansion units can be either Z IP or W serial in-line meters ( Serial meter models available upon request ).
Power Management Over IP
Remote Power management helps reducing manpower and hence improving uptime and productivity. It also benefits users with capacity planning and increasing the overall efficiency of the data center. InfraPower® Inline Meter offers 3 kinds of remote management solutions for users’ selection.
Integrated Web-based Management Software (GUI)
A web-based GUI is integrated with our Inline Meters. It is ideal for some users who simply require the power
monitoring of power sources over IP.
Control Through 3rd Party DCIM via SNMP or REST API
Nowadays, many data centers apply the DCIM ( Data Center Infrastructure Management ) in order to centralize the management for monitoring power, cooling and environmental factors across facilities and IT systems. InfraPower Inline Meter supports SNMP V2/V3 and REST API integration and hence user can remotely manage the power via their DCIM.
Free PDU Management Software (IPM-04)
InfraPower Manager IPM-04 is the free, powerful and user friendly power management software provided with our Inline Meters. The Administrator can remotely manage their In-line Meters & PDUs and their respective sensors via a web browser. The Windows based software consolidates management of max. 1600 single & three phase In-line Meters or PDUs via 50 IP groups. 5 concurrent user access licenses are part of the IPM-04 bundle, for achieving the demand of multi-user requirements in data center operations.
IPM-04 provides complete PDU monitoring / control and reporting functions for your data center.
